Our primary geographical footprint as a product distributor serves the Chicago suburban marker, however we have delivery capability that covers both a regional and national reach.

About Us
Established in 2017 by husband and wife team; Marcus and Camille Johnson, Great Lakes Building Products started as a residential remodeling contractor and distributor of one cabinet line doing business as Lotus Home Improvement.
Immediately they began to “dream big”. Current operations have evolved and established into two divisions operating out of the same location. Lotus Home Improvement serves the local trades professional and home owners with all remodeling product needs out of their Grayslake, Illinois showroom and no local remodeling or installation is provided. We do love to refer our local trades pros to homeowners who visit our Lotus showroom who are looking for a good kitchen, bathroom and flooring contractor!
Great Lakes Building Products continues to be a growing construction materials distributor for both residential and commercial interior products and serves all sorts of trades professionals throughout lake and cook county. The ever growing and evolving list of both pro customers and vendors firmly supports their strong presence in the market.

Camille Johnson
PRESIDENT
Camille Johnson, President; has over 20 years experience of customer relations, sales, and marketing. She is passionate about bringing diversity and inclusion to the construction industry, while developing strong and long-standing partnerships built on trust. From this family business, to her past within corporate America, she has a broadened skillset of the construction industry and the supplies that complete the project. Through founding Great Lakes Building & Products and becoming president, she’s been able to secure vendor relationships while acquiring and supplying one product at a time.
Marcus Johnson
CEO
Marcus Johnson, CEO took his experience from being a licensed Chiropractor, managing orthopedic rehab clinics to managing construction job sites. There he was able to build his product knowledge of building supplies, while connecting with trades installers. From medical professional to construction project manager to CEO, Marcus Johnson is an example to his family, employees and community of what it takes to lead by example.
